pink stuff on cancer

Let us be aware that cancer is one of the leading killers in the U.S. and even in different parts of the world. It is said by international health expert, that cancer would be replacing heart disease as the top killer in the world by 2010.

Lung cancer has said to be having the highest mortality rate in all cancer cases, to both men and women.
Cervical cancer is increasing cancer deaths among women, as well as breast cancer.

There are a lot of health organizations that are focusing their attention in helping cancer patients, and they are also asking for donations from different sectors, private and public alike.

They accept donations of different sorts, money is very essential, but they also accept car donation too, to fund and support their research and advocacy.

Maybe if I have wheels on my own, I would donate my car to these organizations, to show support, and also, let's say... it's my way of helping in my own little way.

Wouldn't it be a helpful step if you will donate your car to charity and support their projects by financing to their cause? It would be a really big help especially to those cancer patients who are all waiting for miracles to happen.

Wouldn't it be nice to feel that you are their miracle waiting to happen?

You can check carsfightingcancer.org for the process of donating your vehicle online or you can call them at 1-888-950-CURE (2873), a toll-free hotline, and one of their experienced staff will accommodate you.

pink stuff #38: pink helmet

my hubby is thinking of getting
a motorcycle as his means of transportation
when he goes to work.

of course, you need to have a head gear to keep
your head safe.
and i'm eyeing for a pink helmet
whenever i'll ride on his motorcycle,
just like these:

cuties, right? ;)

not only that...
there are a lot of things we do
that we need to protect our heads from...
like playing!

if kids are playing baseball,
they also need to protect their heads.

if your kids are riding bikes,
they should wear helmets too...

or a girl who wants to role play
a firefighter can wear this hat too!

OXIS on Oxidative Stress

What do you mean by "Oxidative Stress"?
Oxis Int'l, a research and development company specializing in combating the effects of oxidative stress, explains that oxidative stress
refers to the situations in which the body’s antioxidant and other defensive abilities to combat free radicals (a.k.a highly reactive species of oxygen and nitrogen) are overwhelmed and one’s normal healthy balance is either lost or severely compromised.
Oxidative stress is also caused by exposure to cigarette smoke, pollution, UV light and radiation.  It can also increase as we age.

That's why they are developing products which includes therapeutic nutraceutical products, cosmeceutical products and proprietary formulations and clinical products that are developed internally and/or out-licensed to biotech and pharmaceutical companies as drug candidates.

These are those anti-aging products, products with antioxidant and glutathione substances that helps fight oxidative stress to men and women alike.

On financial aspect of the company, they are one of those penny stock company in the US.  Investors are most welcome to invest.
